Accessibility Statement

AGAT is committed to providing an equal, accessible service to everyone, including people with disabilities. We have worked to make this website comfortable, available and easy to use.

Conformance level

This website has been made accessible in accordance with Israeli Standard IS 5568 (based on WCAG 2.0) at level AA, and has also been reviewed against WCAG 2.1 level AA. This applies to both the Hebrew and the English versions of the site.

Accessibility features

  • Full keyboard navigation, with a clearly visible focus indicator and a "Skip to main content" link.
  • Screen-reader support: a clear heading structure, labels on buttons and fields, text alternatives for images, and full card names in every spread, including each card's place in it (for example "Card 2 of 3: The Sun").
  • The reading interpretation is announced to screen readers once it is ready, once, not while it is being written.
  • Color contrast that meets the standard's requirements.
  • Responsive layout on all screen sizes, and text zoom up to 200% without loss of content.
  • Right-to-left support in Hebrew and left-to-right support in English.
  • Reduced animation for users who have enabled this setting on their device.
  • Navigation and menu controls of at least 44 pixels on mobile devices.
  • A warning before an idle session signs you out, with the option to stay signed in.

Tested browsers and assistive technologies

The site was tested in Chromium 141 (the engine behind Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge) at desktop and mobile screen widths, with automated checks (axe-core), keyboard-only navigation, and an inspection of the accessibility tree the browser passes to screen readers.

Known limitations

We are still working on the following. Expected fix date for all of them: 31 December 2026.

  • The site has not yet been tested with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) or in Firefox and Safari.
  • On the English site some pages are available in Hebrew only: the Yes or No, SOS and Message from the Cards pages, and the signed-in area (My readings, notifications, profile and the reading table for signed-in users). Their content is marked as Hebrew so screen readers read it correctly.
  • On the English site, the saved-reading page and the daily card for signed-in users mix Hebrew and English text, and the Hebrew text is not marked as Hebrew.
  • English words inside Hebrew text (such as "AI") are marked as English in the footer and the FAQ, but not yet on every page.
  • The advanced subscriber tools (the grid builder and card messages) were not part of the review, and the site has not been tested for adjusted text spacing.
